Steve McCurry

                                                          http://stevemccurry.wordpress.com/
Some days ago I found this picture on Flickr of Sharbat Gula without knowing who it was, she inspired me ...
Sharbat Gula was the subject of Steve McCurry’s “Afghan Girl.”

"The tree in the desert"

1.The Tree of Ténéré or L’Abre du Ténéré was the world’s most isolated tree – the solitary acacia, which grew in the Sahara desert in Niger, Africa, was the only tree within more than 250 miles (400 km) around.

The tree was the last surviving member of a group of acacias that grew when the desert wasn’t as dry. When scientists dug a hole near the tree, they found its roots went down as deep as 120 feet (36 m) below to the water table!

Apparently, being the only tree in that part of the wide-open desert (remember: there wasn’t another tree for 250 miles around), wasn’t enough to stop a drunk Libyan truck driver from driving his truck into it, knocking it down and killing it!

2.One of my paintings "The tree in the desert" I was impressed by original

"Different planets"

This particular painting has a special meaning for me. The main thyme is a man and a woman with the child which can not find common language together. In painting you can see two different planets, one connected to women with a child and another to men. They will be never together because they are so different. I tried new direction of art. My inspiration was M. Chagall and cubism.

"Marriage"

Acrylic work on canvas in pop art style. Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist's use of the mass-produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of fine art.Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object,or combines it with other object, for contemplation.
Pop art often takes as its imagery that which is currently in use in advertising. Product labelling and logs figure
prominently in the imagery chosen by pop artists, like in the Cambell's Soup Cans label,by Andy Warhol. Even the labelling on the shipping carton containing retail items has been used as subject matter  in pop art, for example in Warhol's Campbell's Tomato Juice Box 1964,or his Brillo Soap Box sculptures.

"Tell me who is your friend and I will tell who you are"

This is acrylic painting in canvas.Pop art is a wonderful style with the help of which I can express irony through my work. I want to show  human weakness.

"Family"

This is acrylic painting in pop art style! As you have noticed I have more then one painting  in this  style! I will continue my work in this direction in order to obtain better result. This techniques is very interesting for me because I can express all kind of emotions and feelings with the help of cartoons and colours.
French design and pop culture ephemera from the past century, including movie, cafe, and travel posters; Art Nouveau  and Deco products and packaging;popular magazines and novels;fashion images and accessories;music albums became an inspiration for my work.
